Lion King is an adventure-side scrolling game by Sega. Game is based on the Disney's popular animated movie Lion King. Game has a side scrolling gameplay where player can run, climb, leap and clear each level. Game has new and thrilling levels which player must complete. Player takes control of a little lion called Simba who is on his way to avenge his father by killing Scar who plotted and planned to kill simba's father. On his way, Simba evolve through many ages such as cub, teen, and then adult simba. After some levels, a bonus level is also available in which player must collect as more as insects as possible to get new bonuses. On the game's screen, there are two bars. The left bar is the roar meter, which should be fully completed in order to allow simba to roar more effectively. The right bar is the health meter which can be filled by taking health upgrades. However, game has a limited amount of lives and lives can also be collected in levels. Beside simba, player can control Timon or Pumbaa in bonus levels. During simba's different ages, he has different abilities such as the cub simba can roll, jump, roar. All these skills can be used for combat. Cub simba can dodge attacks and roll over to hidden areas. While the adult simba is stronger, can maul and slash. Adult simba can throw enemies to defeat them. Game can be played in different difficulty levels. New controls can be added to game. Graphics and textures has been build for best appearance. Each level in the game has its own theme song which coincides with the theme songs in the movie.
