The Nut Job 2014 is an animated-adventure movie. Movie is basically based on the short film released in 2005 named as "Surly Squirrel". The sequel of this movie is likely to be released on 15th January in 2016. The movie is set in 1959 in a fictional town of Oakton. A group of urban animals leaded by Raccoon (Liam Neeson) are trying to gather food for the coming winter in a tree in Liberty Park. Raccoon's servant Mole (Jeff Dunham) tells him about the shortage of food in the park. All the animals scream that they could not survive the winter without food. Among these animals is Surly (Will Arnett) who is a selfish animal and because of his due actions he has been declared as an outcast. Surly tries to steal food and nuts but never get them to the animals in the park. His only friend is a rat "Buddy". Surly and Buddy try to rob a peanut cart and Raccoon's helpers also get their hands on the cart to collect some nuts for winter. These helpers are Andie (Katherine Heigl) and Grayson ( Brendan Fraser). Surly ignores Andie's help and her deal to share the nuts in a fixed ratio and tries to get the nuts on his own. During their heist, Surly gets disrupted by a dog named precious and after biting a gas pipe, surly and buddy manages to get the whole cart away from the owner. Meanwhile, andie successfully guides the cart to Liberty Park. Unwillingly, the cart gets collapsed with the tree and explodes resulting the tree to burn to ashes.
