The Darkness 2 is a horror-shooting game by 2K Games. Game is sequel to its predecessor (Darkness) and the second installment in Darkness game series. Game has a third person perspective gameplay in which player takes control of Jackie Estacado who have become head of Franchetti crime family. He still remain the darksider with his dark powers which allows him to perform superhuman activities. Jackie can control his powers more efficiently than before. Jackie has been attacked by a rival gang and injured after he escapes the scene. During the attack, his dark powers force him to reveal his real identity which he don't want to do. After some time, he witnesses a disastrous explosion which further led him him deep unconsciousness and he bleeds out. His dark powers try to save him from several attackers by killing them. He escapes to the subway where he is driven over by a train and he see a vision in which he is asked to find Johnny. Jackie wakes up again at the subway and regroups with his men and try to find Johnny. Game has new features in which player can use both Jackie's super powers and guns in order to kill enemies and attackers. Player can simultaneously use Jackie's guns and super powers. Player can use the dark tendrils in order to pick or throw or collide two enemies with each other. Player loses his power in light so players must keep a distance from light and should stay in darkness. Game's tremendous graphics engine makes the game more and fully real and adds a real touch to game's gameplay. New features includes new weapons, combat moves, defensive moves, visuals and sound effects.
